Impact of project:
None
Project Description:
There are many young people who are interested in personal and professional development, but cannot afford to pay for these services. Recently, a number of training companies have vacancies and appreciate the opportunity to donate free spots in exchange for tax deductions according to the Romanian fiscal code. At the same time, many multinational corporations have begun educational projects for youth, but they are not well advertised. In response, CareerKIT will provide information about all these opportunities in one place forinterested young professionals. The placements will be decided by competitions organized by the partners or by us. In the next 3 years, CareerKIT aims to help 5,000 students and young professionals improve their employability skills by offering them access to high quality trainings and educational projects. We aim to sign partnerships with 100 training companies, employers, and NGOs. At the end of the first year we will begin implementing our own training projects using funds from the European Union.
Why this project is a Good Practice example:
This project is a good practice example, because it provides project participants with access to trainings and educational projects that they wouldn’t be able to pay and will be able to integrate to the labour market more efficiently and to achieve their professional goals.  It appeals to multinational companies, NGOs, and training companies alike to strengthen their brands and tie them with corporate social responsibility.

Also, the state will reduce its expenses because it won’t have to pay the unemployment help incomes for these young people and also will increase its revenues with the taxes they will pay.
Impact Evaluation:
The project is in the beginning stages, so this page will be updated as results emerge.
Lessons Learned:
The research I’ve made among the Romanian young people made me understand that if we want to solve the youth unemployment issue the first thing we must do is to build trust. Most of all youth trust in themselves which will generate enthusiasm and willingness to succeed. Also, we must build the companies’ trust in the fresh graduates to rise their employability in this period when the employers can’t invest as much as before in their development due to the cutting costs policies. And all this can be achieved by improving the youth personal and professional development.
The participation to the European Projects Awards competition and, most of all the fact that CareerKIT won that contest exposed the project to many funding opportunities. So, even if usually the entrepreneurs don’t make public their ideas before launching them on the market, this contest helped me to implement my project, by facilitating its funding and development. Also, the suggestions I received made me improve the project even before implementing it.
