    Description

To help foster a multi-sectoral approach to help create jobs and improve employment opportunities in the developing world, the JKP has launched a series of moderated virtual exchanges with prominent thought leaders from varied disciplines and sectors.

This event will feature Professor Dan Ariely of Duke University.
Professor Ariely is the author of Predictably Irrational and The Upside of Irrationality, as well as The Honest Truth about Dishonesty. His TED Talks on Behavioral Economics has been viewed more than 2 million times.

Using the Google Hangout video platform, invited speakers discuss specific topics based on questions raised by the 2013 World Development Report on Jobs. The conversations are moderated by an economist from the World Bank's Jobs Knowledge Platform. The discussions are streamed live to the JKP's Facebook page, with text commenting open to the online audience.
