    Description

The World Bank’s Internet and Communications Technology Sector Unit is preparing a report on how ICTs are helping to expand employment opportunities, both as an industry and as an enabler.

The report will include inputs from numerous external partners through written communications and virtual brainstorming sessions. This event is the first of such sessions, and includes representatives of a number of innovative companies and research institutions who are on the forefront of ICT industries.

Today, the focus will be on two questions:
How could governments at various stages of development use ICT to assist people in finding employment and to make labor markets more inclusive?

How does the production of ICT influence employment?
